The Peace Piano

Take a look at our fabulous new addition – The Peace Piano!

The baby grand piano has been kindly donated to the market by Jane Lewis on behalf of her late parents, Brian and Jen Peace.

The dairy farmers bought the piano in the late 1960s from Samuel Beeston Music Warehouse (known as Beestons), based at 38 Bampton Street, Tiverton.

The piano remained in the drawing room at their home – Willicroft Farm near Rackenford – for decades and the couple encouraged visitors to play it.

The piano now sits in our central lobby – and everyone is welcome to have a go.
